I do this blog because I Love Music. I grew up with music all different kinds Rock and Roll, Christian in a little Baptist Church, Love Pop, Bluegrass, Country, Classical Rock, Hard Rock, Jazz, AND Blues. We was raised to love music through different aspects of our life. Sometimes it was visiting with my mothers sisters and my Uncle Dallas and cousin Roger, we would have a back yard cookout and they would pull out their guitars and we all would sing.

Thank You Author
The little old lady stood at the kitchen sink
looking out the window,
but she couldn't think of any other
for some reason her son Author
was on her mind today!
He was her middle boy
and he was no toy.
All through the years her tried to shine
I know at times he felt left behind
Author was the one in the family
who had the mild temper.
He never was bad even when he was sad.
I always felt gladness in my heart
when he was near.
Even though at times he thought he could walk on water.
This is our way of talking and it really was an open well
with a board laid across it for walking to the other side.
or bide your time and he would grow up
instead of going to school he skipped to go horse back riding.
Author and only him could do this and get away with it.
Dear you do not know how much we all have loved you
The music you played on that old guitar
what a ringing it touched all of our souls
How bold you are
Thank God for sharing your life
with all of us
If not for your our lives would not could not be the same.
Thank You Author from your Mother!

Our West Virginia
Autum in West Virginia
is one of the most beautiful sights
you will ever see.
The fall follage with the leaves changing to their different
colors of yellow, red and orange.
Our fall festivals throughout the state
with their pumpkins and the smells that bate
a stranger driving by to stop and see
what everything is about
here in our town of Chapmanville
just off of a beautiful mountain hill
in the month of October we have
the Apple Butter Festival
Here the sounds and smells can not be beat.
We have the old car shows and music with the singers singing their songs.
Our town is the center of our families
who have been born, raised and educated around or near our beautiful town.
Our state some say move at a slower pace like a step back into time.
After all this being said our state offers some of the best colleges around.
They have educated doctors, nurses and lawyers and many others.
Our state may move slow in some ways but for our children,
education is the upmost in our minds and hearts.
After all how are they and our state going to shine without a good education.
Memories are our foundation of who we are
with our coal mines being a big part of our state.
They keep the electricity flowing through the homes in WV and throughout the country.
Our mountains and state parks offers nature's beauty with little wanders like the deer and fishing ponds.
Our way of life sponds a way of life that has roots and a foundation
that goes with us no matter were we go
this is our WV home sweet home.

Here Today And Gone Tomorrow
The darkness of the night has rolled out.
The dawn of morning light has come.
Your head has been buried in the sand so long,
you see the bad and not the good.
How sad it is to wake up and see with your own eyes,
life is never the way it is suppose to be.
We sometimes carry ourselves at bay in a box insulated
from the outside world, when we should open our hearts
to the pain and suffering and sorrow of others.
We could borrow from each other learning as we go
never saying no just maybe so.
Life is meant to change ever evolving,
so when God calls us home we are ready to go.
Our minds and bodies are not meant to live forever.
Life cycles are meant to begin with the new generations and are never ending with the old.
Even though they are called home they will live through their families and their
blood will flow in each and everyone of their veins.
When a new baby is born it is so our families can shine and grow.
They are our future which binds us to the past.
Boy! The time has sure moved fast here today and gone tomorrow.

Little Wrinkle At The Corner of My Eyes
Twinkle twinkle little wrinkle at the corner of my eyes.
looking at and in a mirror glass.
Oh those years have quickly passed by.
Me standing on the rock in the mountains
or watching the cocks crow at dawns daylight.
Oh the sights these old eyes have witness
changes changes everywhere
and for some no lack of hope to be found.
Yes I am growing older and some think I do not have sound of mind
If some I know would search deeper in their soul,
they would find they are not so bold at getting old.
How many babies she has rock and cuddled in her lap
and at the moment of sleep finding them wispered I love you.
She has wore many hats through out the years
which has gave her the knowledge to inpower us all
thank God for the twinkle twinkle in those old eyes so bold.

Do You Know Who I Am
Do you know who I am?
I am your fellow man.
I am your fellow man.
When I am standing in the a crowd do you see my face?
I am not the ace of the bunch,
but instead one as old as the ages or as new as a young child.
Do you look at me and wonder is his name Sam?
I wander do you take time to even care who or what I am.
This night is only a sight of what I could be if only you took time to know me.
I wander as you sander by me if the thought enters your mind
I am better than you even though you don't know me.
Do you see who they are?
They touch your heart with pain and sorrow for all they have been through in life.
I am not a bible figure such as Cane or Able instead I am Sam.

The Golden Years
I woke up this morning and said I am getting old
only the souls of the elderly knows what that means.
I have talked about the golden years
well I am finally sold on what they really mean.
They are not so bold, they are really something,
when you have only medicare to look forward to in life.
Especially those doctors visit that no one seems
to want to pay.
Hey I tell you it is a real treat ,
when the doctor beams at you
and says now Mr Jones this is all the medication you
need to be taking for your health.
What a joke or maybe even a host or nothing to boast about.
When most of our elderly just have medicare
if they buy their medication they will go without food for the month.
How nice it is to belong to the forgotten race of man the elderly!
All of a sudden it seems we don't pay taxes or buy gas or vote.
I wonder how long is this going to last?
The young will some day become old I wonder
are they going to be sold on the golden years?
I pray not so when you read this today
try and remember our elderly with kindness and respect.
They are our beautiful doves who fly so high in the sky,
it is through and by their sweat and tears
without having fears,
we are who we are Americans.
Americans they stand tall and walk the talk
which keeps this country moving
thank God for the elderly without them were would we be?

No Promises
We all have a life source that light our soul within
it glows to light our way
it's there when we walk on the beach in the sand
nature's gift what a sight
to look up in the sky and see the birds in flight
or to listen to the quit of the night with
all the sounds you can hear with your ears and heart
the little night creatures with their own kind of song
these are the sounds that have been here as long as the earth
a rose blooming with all its beauty to see
with no idea of what looms around the corner
is death no more life source no glow of the morning
sun on your skin
we all walk a thin line between death and life
love your love ones each day
walk and talk and live each day as
if there was no tomorrow
who knows what might be next
no promises, no promises!
it glows to light our way
it's there when we walk on the beach in the sand
nature's gift what a sight

Friends To The End
Friends to the end
not just around the bend.
When your in trouble
so many wrap theirselves in a bubble
and all of a sudden they don't know who you are.
I feel shame I am not to blame!
The only thing I did was not
know who my true friends were.
I have always heared you could count them
on your fingers and the most the time on your first hand.
I have found that to be very true
a true friend is there when you are blue
or just to say how are you?
Thank God for true friends without them were would we be?
They love you through the good and bad they never make you sad
only glad to see them because you see they are there for you through it all.

My Love For You
My love for you
makes my heart flutter like a dove.
I know we are headstrong and sometimes can't get along.
Through it all there could never be another,
just to be with you knowing how much your care
gives me a peace and harmony in my soul.
Darling I know we are growing old
and the way we live now is not as bold
as it was at one time.
I give you my oath of love and caring for our remaining years.
I shudder at the thought of one of us leaving the other behind
and this day and every day forward I pledge to love you as there are no other.
makes my heart flutter like a dove.

I Turned 57 Today
I turned 57 today,
life is still like a big
churn of buttermilk at times
It can be wonderful then go sour as a lime
My mind says you can do things,
but my body at times sings out a different tune
Soon I will be facing the golden years
what is those for most of us
they are filled with tears and fears of getting older.
some of us become a host for others to scam and use
I would like to say to those individuals we might be older but we are not dumb
I have notice the slowing of my metabolism
it has slowed down to a crawl
so now I have to eat a lot or raw vegetables
For some of us our hearing is going
and our energy level well talk about try sowing a few wild Oats
the music I use to dance to
why if I tried that now it sure would not be a prance
my size 6 pants
well the fix for them has become a size twelve
Hey I love birthdays
I am glad they come once a year
If I decide to drink a beer it had better be low calorie
I love cake to
my body tells me all you are going to do is ache
after all the exercise to shed the pounds it makes
around the middle of my belly and hinny
The one and most thing I do enjoy
is all my beautiful cards and well wishes from my host of family and friends
because you see that is what makes a birthday the most.

A Lonely Feeling
A lonely feeling,
that makes you believe
that deep down in your soul
you are old.
You can see a deep dark hole,
and nothing can be told.
When do you keep from telling?
The truth of all that is
and all that is to come.
A distant pain
inside your heart,
that tells you to be smart.
Move forward with your life never backward.
Don't drag your feet with a lack of zest
get up and try to do your best!
that makes you believe

you are old.

Life Keeps Going On
Life is short,
so set your ship to sail to the right port.
The waves crushing in on you high.
They just seem to keep coming with no relief.
All you can do at times is shake your head an sigh,
at the wonder of all.
In your heart knowing nothing is what it seems.
Why do people tell lies?
No one knows the meaning of meekness,
They prey on others weakness.
We just keep looking for love none to be found,
only the lonesome sound when no one is around.
Your head is pounding out what reality is all about.
Mine is mine to own,
and yours is yours to claim,
and life just keeps going on..Written by Judith Collins

Life Goes On
I feel like a frizzed tail cat
Sometimes I would like to take flight like a bat.
high up in the sky I would fly.
With no meaning why just to be high.
Then at times my soul amends and I come back do again,
then I guess I am bound to lives serious bonds on me.They encircle me and say hey you will never be free.
I guess that's the way it's meant to be
as long as you draw a breathe.
Life goes on and so must we.

Misplaced Values
Today I woke up sick at heart
For someone thinks they got smart
How can people lie to your face?
While putting a knife in your back at the same time.
Some one thinks they are holding a ace in their hands,
they stole my prize guitar which I play in the band.
The power they think they have over me
someday they will see.
When it is soon taken from them,
and in front of a judge they stand.
What kind of a life will they have behind jail bars
looking out at all the cars
my heart goes out to them
because the worst is yet to come
someday they must stand in front of God
what a judge they must face
for all they have misplaced.
written by Judith Collins I want to send this to my man and let him know how much I love him this really happen to him and it has hurt him very bad it was one of his babies. What a Shame!

I Want To Go To Heaven
I want to go heaven.
The doves of God will ascend.
Here love's brightness will light the gate,
no pain nor suffering no more hate.
I want to go to heaven,
just to see Aunt Kate,
but most of all to see Jesus.
I can't wait.
A place of joy and peace.
Oh what a sight it will be,
a place were all is right in the world.
There will be no choice of what race we are,
oh what a place.
I want to go to heaven just to see his face.

Darkness All Around Me
Darkness all around me,
not even a sound.
He said he would light my way.
hey give me your life,
I'll show you the way.
Hey who are you?
The old man with a cane looked at me with eyes so vain.
He answered with a voice I had never heard.
Are you insane?
I am the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost
I was sent down to deliver you from the darkness all around.

Nothing Remains The Same
Little birds sitting in the trees singing
a song so sweet it can not be beat.
A crow flying by so high in the sky looking for something to eat.
The sound of a creek flowing towards the river, with fish jumping into the air.
Looking up at the mountains so high
it hurts knowing that some people could care less if the little animals lived or died
It makes my heart shiver with disdain to think what is going to happen next,
to the deer romping and playing in the sunshine.
No moonshine made here, everything is to near.
Civilization has moved into their habitat ,
now they know nothing but fear.
As my mind remembers a better time and place tears roll down my cheeks
just to think how weak we have become when property is more important,.
and everything else is a game and nothing remains the same.

Everyone Is Somebody
Everyone is somebody
we might be big in politics or
like the Statue Of Liberty standing there in the harbor shining her freedom light for all to see.
We might be the one who does the cleaning for the president
Everyone is somebody
A wonderful sight it is when our service men get to come home.
Every day these young men and women put their selves in harms way
so that we can grow old.
We owe them our souls as well as our gratitude.
Everyone is somebody
The doctors and nurses they are so bold and caring
this helps them see and take care of the ones who are in need
Everyone is somebody
from the biggest to the littlest we have American pride.
Some of us walk some ride buses while others ride cars
we have others who drive big semitrailers to assure our food and supplies reach our homes,
We all have one thing in common everybody is somebody and we all are Americans

A wonderful sight it is when our service men get to come home.
Every day these young men and women put their selves in harms way
so that we can grow old.
We owe them our souls as well as our gratitude.
Everyone is somebody
The doctors and nurses they are so bold and caring
this helps them see and take care of the ones who are in need
Everyone is somebody
from the biggest to the littlest we have American pride.
Some of us walk some ride buses while others ride cars
we have others who drive big semitrailers to assure our food and supplies reach our homes,
We all have one thing in common everybody is somebody and we all are Americans

A Late Father's Day
All through the years your memory has lingered
here in my heart.
A life that was cut short before your time.
You were only forty two.
I am left here to look back on all the Father's Days
I didn't have you here with me Dad.
It has caused a deep seeded sadness in my heart
through out the years.
The times I would like to talk to you,
No one to walk me down the Isle.
When my children came along,
I miss the twinkle that would have been in your eyes.
Oh the pride I know you would have taken to have been their grandpa.
My life has moved on without you.
I know you are one of my guardian angels up in heaven,
in my heart I know you look down on all seven of us.
You send your blessing that only a loving Dad could give.
Dad rest in peace and wait someday God will open the gates,
then what a Father's Day we will have even though it will be late.

A Coal Miner's Soul
A coal miner has a soul
that is so bold.
They grow old before their time,
in the mines digging coal.
Under the ground
not even a round of applause,
for all they do to keep this country moving
for you and me.
At night know one knows or hears the sounds and dreams
that hound them about all the work they done yesterday.
They work under ground in a deep dark hole with only their lights to guide them,
so electricity can flow.
Some think what they do is bad,
what a sadness this brings to my soul.
When death bell tolls another one is killed
all that is left is an empty shell.
Their families have only memories left of a strong will man who work to pay his bills.
This sends chills up and down my spine
just to think they will never shine for all the good they do.
Think fast and don't blink twice and maybe you will see the light.

Hey the beauty you will see is

Sitting on the front porch combing Grandma's hair
watching her light up a torch to her pipe
She never slighted not one of us
when we got off the bus
She would have supper ready
with green beans and ham
what a lady she was
her hair auburn red glowing in the sun
what fun we had just doing things
how sad we was
when at ninety two death's hand took her from us
The things she taught Sam and I
we will never forget
that is why memories live on in our mind
binding us to never forget the love ones
who have gone on before us.

For Just Today No Hate
A song to lighten your day
Sun shine to brighten your way
Hey what a day that would be
This is just a list of what should be
Families loving each other
and no pain or heart ache
Children riding merry-go rounds
Dad picking cherries out of a tree
No sadness just bright lights to make
you merry along your way
Say what is on your mind
without it being a sin
have fun in the sun.
Please have no fears and no tears.
Who knows what looms around the corner
but just for today be happy and show no hate.

My Request
One good day
without getting in a bad mood.
One day when the sun is shining.
Hey one day filled with fun and not sadness
a day of freedom or just going shopping.
Knowing no one is counting minutes
or how much money you spent.
One day of knowing not one cent
could or should make a difference.
One day of being lazy or just maybe lying in bed.
or soaking in a bubble bath up to my neck.
One day of the phone not ringing,
and one day of someone listening to me.
One day of not having any problems to share.
How rare and far in-between those kind of days are,
some days good some are bad.
One thing for sure is the days keep coming whether
they be good or bad.
It is up to us to slow down and say no more, no more!
without getting in a bad mood.
One day when the sun is shining.
Hey one day filled with fun and not sadness
a day of freedom or just going shopping.

The FIrst Grandson
Stephen came into this world kicking and screaming
He had a head of black hair
Fair skin and rosy red cheeks
Stephen has always had our love and he won our heart
When he smile his eyes seem to sparkle
Stephen even though your a grown young man
Remember our love is still yours
Stephen stand tall and handsome and always be the man you are
Look forward to the future and move on gracefully
Look ahead and don't lack or hack on anyone else
Stephen you got the ball and remember
you score 100% with me
Love and Happy Birthday Grandma Judy

One Wonderful Thing That Makes A Woman A Mother
Mothers never utter the bad or sad things that happen to them. A dog fight that happen right in sight of a small child, who's cry rang out so loud like a warning siren going off. Out the door she soared to check out the loud noise. There was Dude the boxer in a fight with three other dogs. What a sight it was down in the creek they went fighting all the way. She ran down the road along side the creek which reeked with sewage and God knows what else. Out of the house came a neighbor who was so kind, that behind his back was a gun. Out of his mouth came words you would not believe. He threaten to kill Dude. How rude and mean he was to say he would kill a small child's dog. She never one time thought of herself down in the creek she went, brave as any mother could or would be under the circumstance. She broke up that dog fight and what a sight it was she lost one of her new shoes down the creek it went flowing right towards the river. She then shiver as she got out of that creek, and told that guy I don't live here I am from the South. You had never ever better say another threat like this in front of this baby or talk like this to me again. She did not walk up the road instead she marched like a lioness with her head held up with pride taking care of her cubs. In the house she came soaking wet to change her clothes and find her tennis shoes. She thought just another day gone wrong, but this is not a song. Incidents like this is what makes a woman a wonderful mother. Written by Judith Collins

A feeling so strong in your heart that you know it can not be wrong. Your palms of your hands sweat and you can not stand without shaking. Your whole body aches from knowing that you may never feel this way again. When memories come around and you yell to them for just one moment in time. The old heartbreak that you felt then seems so near but yet is so faraway in your heart.

Old Time Memories
In the pools of my memories I wander here and there. I can often close my eyes and remember the frost of the morning or the sun shining on the mountains here in Dear Old WV our home state that I love. I remember the fun that we all had as children running back and forth through the woods. The wildflowers we picked and standing under the old maple tree in our front yard. Oh what I would give if for one moment in time to turn back the clock to a simple way of living were time just did not matter and what is even sadder is our younger generation has lost touch with all the beauty in our state when at a time things are getting harder for their parents and in turn they will suffer to. We might not had fancy cars or big games to play but we sure was taught the way of friends, family and love for our state and country in a way that many will never forget. It made us who we are yes we are mountaineers, a strong and caring kind of people.
