THE LEGEND AND BUD MULLENS SINGING RAINY NIGHT IN GEROGIA

Old Time Memories

In the pools of my memories I wander here and there. I can often close my eyes and remember the frost of the morning or the sun shining on the mountains here in Dear Old WV our home state that I love. I remember the fun that we all had as children running back and forth through the woods. The wildflowers we picked and standing under the old maple tree in our front yard. Oh what I would give if for one moment in time to turn back the clock to a simple way of living were time just did not matter and what is even sadder is our younger generation has lost touch with all the beauty in our state when at a time things are getting harder for their parents and in turn they will suffer to. We might not had fancy cars or big games to play but we sure was taught the way of friends, family and love for our state and country in a way that many will never forget. It made us who we are yes we are mountaineers, a strong and caring kind of people.

Did You Ever Have a Day Like This

Did you ever have a day when you say to yourself hey I am tried? Did you ever have a day when you say to yourself I am Sam I am like in the children's book? Have you ever taken a real good look at your life and the ones around you and say what has this taken from me for everyone to remain happy? Have you ever had a day when all it would have taken to make things right was a little word of encouragement from another?  Instead all they could do was turn their nose up like a water hose, and just keep on running their mouths to degrade and put you down for all they think you should do. Could this have all been avoid with a thank you or a please behind their words? I guess we all have had these kind of days, when the sun seem's to shine on everyone but you. Life is a mixture of what could have been and what should have been for all of us at times . What really hurts the most is not every being a host for someone who thinks they are the most and you are nothing. So as we walk through our days on this earth remember a smile and you did a great job will take you places you can't go without them. Love your friends and love ones unconditionally so that you never have to say I sorry or goodbye to them. Life is like a train running through your heart don't let it derail at the wrong stop.
