KNOCKING ON HEAVEN'S DOOR, by Bob Dylan SUNG BY THE LEGEND

What It Means To Me

Inside I am along
no music to sing a song
as I walk this pathway of life
I am no one to so many
can't you see?
Life has become empty for so many of us
nothing to look forward to
never even being blessed with a bed to lay our heads
When summer comes it won't be the cold we have to worry about
but the heat instead
There is no joy to be had for so many of us
it is not that we are bad
it is just there are so much sadness in our world
no changes to be had the rich is getting richer
and the poor is getting poorer,
and no one seems to care
what it means to me!

Out Of My Kitchen Window

What a sight I see when I look out my kitchen window
up on the mountain were the snow is beginning to fall
I saw you walking and running after you little nuts like chasing a ball
yes winter has finally came to The LEGEND'S mountain
The birds are in flight moving towards the south's warm heat
what a sound your wings make like a drum beating
The Old mistletoe tree stands with it mistletoe gleason from the snow
it stands strong never bowing down
I look and what a sight I see  it looks like it   came from a picture book .
there stands three little deer grazing on the grass that grows here.
You can see the clouds rolling in from the east knowing when they get here nothing will be the same
The  ground will freeze and the cold will remain for a good while
Up on the mountain stands THE LEGEND'S Pad all lonely and empty looking over our mountain
waiting for better days and the heat from the sun to shine its warmth down on it.
Yes winter has finally here and hey it is just the time of year to stay in here and drink our beer
no more cheers to the outdoor cook outs and being outside to swing on our front
porch
life is full of seasons some are good and some bad but one
thing for sure they always come leaving us waiting for their great wonder of what they will bring next.

New Years Night And Day

Like a thief in the night
the new year came into the light
no one much give a dam that the old year took flight
because all it has been is inflation and higher cost of living
the poor it seemed got poorer and
some of the rich got sorer
you know what? It is sad sad
and some even got wicker and badder
The new year is today and we are going to
ride it like a new bike
and ever one who is here will not take a hike
you see you can not get rid of us so easily
Yes we are the old poor and homeless
but you can not ignore the scores and scores of us
that exist we are here to stay
and we will not be put in  a life of hell
because no one will take responsiblity of our circumstances.
2012 here we are hopeful this year around we will see no big pailouts of the big boys
that supposely keeps our cities and towns moving
no cowing down and  not doing the right thing for all our friends and family
we want our America back the one who believed in God and taking care of our families.
